Fall Equinox

Fall is here! Officially at 10:21am EDT on September 22, 2016

I like fall. I prefer cold to hot. You see, it it’s cold, you can adjust your clothing. You know, put on a sweater or jacket. But if it’s hot, well… it’s hot. You can be butt naked – it’s still hot.

The arrival of fall can be anywhere between Sept 22-24. The exact day is when sunrise to sunset is exactly 12 hours (thus the term “equinox”). Legend has it that you can balance an egg or a broom on it’s end at that specific hour. That’s legend, not fact.

So, the scientists say that fall is here. I guess everyone believes it. Stores are clearing their shelves of summer stuff and packing them with sweaters and jackets. I’m starting to see yellow and orange arrangements in church. Football season is underway. Signs of fall are EVERYWHERE!

Really? Here in Florida the highs remain in the mid 90’s. Humidity is so high, opening your car door is akin to opening the oven door.

That’s what’s on my mind. I’m interested in your thoughts. There’s lots of ways to hit me up so let me hear from you.
